Check out my latest video comparing Let's Build A Zoo and Zoo Tycoon 2!
Noted here, are my best, most time-consuming, and most popular projects. Take a look!
When I first made this thumbnail, I was hugely proud of it. It was a lot more than I'd tried before, but the design was so busy, the colours are all really similar and it's quite ugly. This was for the One-Armed Robbers video, hence the single arm carrying cash. Not sure where the cash is from, since the vault is yet to be opened. Must have been laying around for a while.
I was really proud of this thumbnail from the Wreckfest video. It managed to accumulate over 600 views really quickly - a huge milestone since I'd not really seen numbers bigger than 100 before - and, in my opinion, is quite visually appealing. I think it looks pretty good, and like the car is actually drifting, when in fact the screenshot is from a stationary car in the game. Adam and I also kept playing this game for a long time after filming.
I was so happy with this thumbnail. I thought I mastered the glow, picked a great font, and it was overall great. The video performed pretty well, nothing to complain about. I don't really know why I went with the 'Nintendo should be SCARED' when I didn't really enjoy the game. I even made a video essay about why Palworld isn't very good. (so many dislikes 😭)
This was my first 'video essay' style video. I thought this thumbnail was great, and it managed to get me my first 1k+ views video. The comments were all really supportive, and I'm really proud of this thumbnail. Less proud about using the 'clickbait' +1,000,000 coins banners, though. I did custom make them, so kudos for that, I suppose. I don't really like the Sea of Thieves logo sitting on top of everything in the corner - it makes it look quite messy and less 'professional'.
Before you say anything, I spent hours making this awful thumbnail, so that's why it's in my list. I genuinely really struggled to make a thumbnail for this video. I don't particularly like the game, so I was happy with the amount of views I managed to get, but there wasn't really anything notable that happened in the video for me to put in the screenshot. I was also trying to move away from putting my Minecraft skin in every thumbnail, so I was stuck for ideas.
This thumbnail started a trend for my thumbnails that went on way too long. The background is a screenshot from my intro background, and I just put some relatively controversial caption next to the franchise logo. I was relatively proud of the devil horns and fire, but other than that, it's quite boring. This is my most viewed video to date, though, so I can't complain too much! The video got so many comments, and, believe me, I tried to respond to them all, but everyone was so generous in sharing their thoughts to help my video. If you were one of the people who commented on this video, or any video for that matter, thank you!
This thumbnail wouldn't have taken so long, if I hadn't have spent so long on the gravestone. Behind Red, it just says his name and '2009-2024'. I even hid an Easter egg behind him that nobody will ever see, except me. This video was pretty decent, if I don't say so myself.
This video, and thumbnail for that matter, took ages to make. I spent forever doing research, gameplay, and calculations (all my maths was wrong, too). I also did a lot more detailed editing than I had been at the time. There were several designs for this thumbnail, that you can find below this segment, but this is the one myself and LeackyBee settled on. Thank you for the idea for this one, too, LeackyBee!
This thumbnail was really effective - two really powerful keywords there, "DEAD" and "CANCELLED". Not a huge fan of it myself, though. I did really like the video, though.
Feast your eyes on what I think is my favourite of all my thumbnails. I spent hours making this. From the shadows, noise, blurs, vignette, this was a completely new experience for me. I'd never tried anything like it, and I really wanted to do the game justice as it's one of my friends' favourite franchises. The thumbnail was heavily inspired by thumbnails by Fern, and my custom sad faced vault-boy was pretty cool in my opinion. The video performed significantly worse than I was hoping, though.
I thought this was a really well-designed, clean thumbnail. A lot of my friends helped me with this one. I even added a little tribute to Technoblade on the island. The video was pretty decent in my opinion, too. This thumbnail nearly didn't exist. The video was underperforming so I was frantically trying to come up with new ideas to save it. I left the previous versions in a carousel below.
My favourite of the A vs B thumbnail styles I've been using for a while now. I just love this screenshot of the T.rex you can see on the left. I liked this video a lot, too. I really enjoy making the comparison and review videos, so thank you to ToastieBeard for inspiring me to try them out!
In this video, I was trying something new! I spent a lot time researching, playing, recording, and maths-ing. Even though all of the maths was wrong, I still feel like I deserve for this to be in the list of my best videos, thanks to my editing, and improvements I made in the energy in my voice.
I had to include one of my gameplay videos in this list. The question was 'Which should I include? They're all so darn amazing!'. I settled on my Lethal Company compilation because of how much effort I put into it at the time. Previously, it had been just linear gameplay videos with no sort of structure. This time, I spent ages on the music, recording, picking the best moments, the chapters, and I feel it deserves to be noted in this list.
Despite the low views this video received, the editing is pretty good (in my opinion), and I really enjoyed making this video. I struggled with actually doing some work instead of sitting playing Parkasaurus during this video, though. I was always really happy to see a comment from the Parkasaurus YouTube channel!
I was really proud of this video - that's why it ranked so highly. I thought the writing, speaking, and editing were altogether pretty good, and it got a decent amount of views.
In my opinion, this was by far my best video. I thought the writing, and editing were pretty spot on, so, if you want a video that represents my best work, I'd recommend taking a look at this video.
I've made some absolutely shocking videos, and I'll be the first to point it out. These are possibly the 3 worst videos I've ever made...
I barely know anything about FIFA. I think I was expecting Adam to do most of the writing for this one since he knows a lot about football, but he was really busy at the time and I ended up doing it. Hence, one of my worst videos. The thumbnail is terrible too, and I had no ideas for any other designs.
This video was irrelevant, and pointless. In hindsight, I'm not quite sure who would actually want to watch it. I think I thought that by making this video I would be the first in some sort of trend. Turns out I was wrong and the video was a flop... This video is number 1 on my list to possibly archive for members-only.
My worst video would definitely have to be "ROCKET POWERED CARS?!". This video was rushed, I didn't really want to record, and I should have just cancelled the video for this week. It performed really poorly, and I hate its existence. You may have noticed Easter eggs in my videos referring to this monstrosity. "Subscribe or watch ROCKET POWERED CARS?! for all eternity" appears a couple of times on my channel.
